Dr. LaTanya Goodloe

Board Chair

Dr. Latanya Goodloe brings powerful lived experience and professional leadership to Sue’s Safe Haven. As a published author, national speaker, and entrepreneur, she uses her journey from incarceration to inspiration to empower women in transition. With a doctorate in Leadership and a heart for service, Dr. Goodloe is a passionate advocate for second chances and transformation.

Michelle Smith

Board Member

Michelle Smith is a dedicated social worker and advocate for underserved communities in Wyandotte County. With a master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas, she uses a trauma-informed approach to uplift individuals and families. As a teen pregnancy case manager for the Wyandotte County Health Department, Michelle builds trust, promotes resilience, and champions health equity through empathy, dignity, and respect.

Dola Williams

Board Member

Dola Williams is a passionate advocate, author, and faith-based leader committed to empowering women through wellness and purpose. As founder of Redefining Strong and ICAN.Sir!, she helps women strengthen their spiritual, mental, and physical lives. Her journey through breast cancer fuels her mission to inspire resilience and redefine what strength truly means.

Wendy Medina

Board Member

Wendy Medina is a dedicated advocate and social worker with over seven years of experience supporting survivors of domestic violence. As Program Supervisor for the Victim Services Unit at the KCK Police Department, she leads critical initiatives like the Lethality Assessment Program and oversees the Office of Protection Orders. With a passion for equity, community, and trauma-informed care, Wendy brings both heart and expertise to Sue’s Safe Haven.
