Sue’s Safe Haven provides limited assistance to help Wyandotte County families stay housed and keep essential utilities connected, based on eligibility and available funding.

💡Keep the lights on. If you’ve received a disconnect notice or your service was shut off within the last 90 days. Sue’s Safe Haven may be able to help with electric, gas, or water. Intake opens Wednesdays at 10:00 AM.

Rental Assistance
Stay housed. If you’ve received an eviction notice or are behind on rent, Sue’s Safe Haven may be able to help with a portion of your rent. Intake opens Wednesday at 10:00 AM.

Assistance is for renters in Wyandotte County with a lease in the applicant’s name and is subject to eligibility and available funding. We’re unable to assist with mortgages at this time.
Requirements for Assistance

Must be a resident of Wyandotte County.

Household income must not exceed 150% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Utility bill or lease must be in the applicant’s name.

Applicant must provide a disconnect notice, delinquent notice, or eviction notice.

Applicant must show ability to stabilize within 30–60 days.
