I’m Evelyn McKinney, a faith-centered life coach, leader, and the Founder & Executive Director of Sue’s Safe Haven Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and children overcoming homelessness, trauma, and life transitions.
For over a decade, I have served women and families in Kansas City through spiritual guidance, crisis support, coaching, and holistic healing programs. My passion is simple but powerful: I help women rise.
Rise from fear.
Rise from insecurity.
Rise from brokenness.
Rise into the fullness of who God designed them to be.
My Story
My journey has been shaped by resilience, faith, and a deep inner calling to help others heal.
As a woman who has faced insecurity, rejection, childhood wounds, and painful life transitions—including challenging relationships and seasons of instability—I understand what it means to rebuild from the ground up.
But I also understand victory.
God has walked me through valleys and placed a mission inside me:
to guide women into identity, purpose, stability, and spiritual wholeness.
This journey inspired Sue’s Safe Haven, where I developed crisis housing support, spiritual development programs, and a full healing curriculum for women and children. It is also what inspires my coaching—helping women discover who they are in God’s eyes and walk boldly into their calling.
